Design Cover

I think this week was one of the most difficult assignments so far. It took me a really long time for me to find covers that I could make. Not only that, it was also a really hard to find the right fonts and images to replicate covers so they looked very similar. This project was very time consuming but it was really fun to do.

    I really like your second design because of the way you placed the text on the actual "ember." My only suggestion is that you should format your photo to fit whatever design you are trying to accomplish. For example, a book cover should be rectangular and an album should be square. Otherwise, good work.

    I like your "The City of Ember", "The Raven", and "Paper Towns" photos. I like how you created the effect of light for your "City of Ember" book cover. I also like how different these photos are, because it shows that you didn't focus just on one topic (which I kind of did). I have no suggestions.

Throughout this project, I wanted to focus on contrasting the difference between drawings and reality. I thought that keeping the drawings black and white made allowed the real photo stand out more which abled me to show the contrast a lot more. These images are the one's I thought were the best ones from this entire project.

Spring 2

This week I really focused on erasing all the extra space from the drawing images that I didn't need. This I think is one of my most time consuming series I have ever done. I kinda mixed in the idea of imagination and reality into this draft. For next time, I think I wanna try both of them for a whole entire week to really get a sense of black and white realistic drawings in colored real backgrounds versus black and white imaginative drawings in colored real backrounds

Fall Series Final #4

In my last draft, I really got into the candid photos of my people. I think they really brought the photo together. As before, I used the city image as the background but I only edited it after I combined it with the picture of the person. This way, it allowed me to see how much the background need to be brightened to make the picture of the person stand out more. In these photos I really wanted to make sure that it wasn't just the person being seen, but there was some notice of the background. However I wanted the main focus to be the models and I think that the bright colors that my model were wearing allowed them to stand out of the photo allowed most of the focus go to the model.
