This week we started our Spring final. I chose to imitate the photographer Ben Heine. However, because I am not skilled enough to draw and printing out images to photograph with becomese a waist of paper, I chose collage black and white drawings into real images. I think the contrast between pencil drawings and reality is really interesting so I wanted to really pursue that theme.
In this new draft, I realized that Jasper James' City Silhouettes were a bit brighter than what I had made them and that the photos of the people were all different sizes. Some of them were zoomed in while others were farther way. I started with the city as the background but I only edited it after I combined it with the picture of the person. This way, it allowed me to see how much the background need to brighten to make the picture of the perosn stand out more.

I think you did a really great job matching the drawing to each background. You did a really nice job and it was super unique. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love it, especially the Disney one, I suggest you work more with Disney. I think the weakest photo is the hummingbird, the rest are perfect.
ReplyDeleteThese are so amazing Lakpa. I really like the unique approach you took to each of your photos and incorporating the drawings into them. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThere are so good! I love the Peter Pan one because it is more imaginative and unlike some of the other added drawings like normal people and animals, which could already be found on the street. Keep up the amazing work.
ReplyDeleteThese are really nice and clever. I like how you thoughtfully connected the background to your imported collage drawing. Great work!
