Composition 2

Leading lines are lines in the image that lead your eye to another part of the picture. Anything that has a definite line can be considered a leading line.

Depth staging involves placing on focus of the image very close, and the other focus far away. This emphasizes varying chararistics of the photo.

Repetition is way to grab the attention of the observer into your image. Repeating a shape in your photo can say alot about your image.

  3. I think you successfully completed the assignment, and your photos are really good. The only feedback I have for you is for you to have a higher angle in your repetition photos, so you can see more of the repetition.

  5. I really enjoyed your photos from your leading lines composition. I love how your first photo has a different angle, in which you are more ground level. I think for your fourth picture in the leading lines composition, you could have brightened the photo the tiniest bit to accentuate the line a little more. Overall, great work.

  7. Your photos are very polished and interesting! You did a really good job of using the black and white filter to your advantage. My only critique is that your third and fourth pictures of depth staging could be mistaken for repetition because of the way you repeat people multiple times. Otherwise, you did a really good job!

Best of Spring Series

Throughout this project, I wanted to focus on contrasting the difference between drawings and reality. I thought that keeping the drawings black and white made allowed the real photo stand out more which abled me to show the contrast a lot more. These images are the one's I thought were the best ones from this entire project.

Class Portraits 2

This week we continued on our class portraits mimicking their different series. Danny's series c aptured how athletes express their mood and emotion to the world and how they carry themselves.  Daro imitated the photographer  Jerry Uelsmann by combining different images to make one image. I chose to do David's levitation series from his winter series Lauren's fall series was to imitate the photographer John French who focused on making shapes with arms.  Liam's winter series was to imitate the photographer Jasper James who worked on city silhouettes.  I imitated Max's winter series which was blurring the image to make shapes that are abstract Stewarts winter series was to give his images and urban feel.

Spring 3

These are last batch for these series. I was starting to run out of ideas, but I still thought that the concept of the realistic images being put together with black and white drawings was really interesing.
