Mulit-Frame Storytelling

The mulit-frame storytelling assignment this week is a way to create a story through various images. By changing the color and effects of an image, it can change the entire meaning of the image which leads to the story being changed. I focused on darker tones on my images, making them a little somber. The borders I choose on my images made the somber mood of the images more authentic to me.

  1. I think your darker tones are very strong and the whites are so white that our images remain cohesive with one any other. I liked how you included a variety of frames, it showed your experimental side of this assignment. Great work

  3. You did really well making connections between your photos into a cohesive story. Your also did really well at linking textures together to build off of each other. All good work!

  4. I like how the overall dark tones in all of your images tie each one of your photos together. I especially like your last photo because the very light and very dark colors conflict each other, but it still ties the piece together.

  6. I think you did an amazing job with this piece. I like how certain photos were darker than others because it tends to create different moods and tones within the piece. Each photo perfectly fits the theme and mood in each individual piece. Wonderful work Lakpa.

  7. I like how you used the street, my suggestion is that the second to last photo seems out of place.

Spring 3

These are last batch for these series. I was starting to run out of ideas, but I still thought that the concept of the realistic images being put together with black and white drawings was really interesing.

Spring 2

This week I really focused on erasing all the extra space from the drawing images that I didn't need. This I think is one of my most time consuming series I have ever done. I kinda mixed in the idea of imagination and reality into this draft. For next time, I think I wanna try both of them for a whole entire week to really get a sense of black and white realistic drawings in colored real backgrounds versus black and white imaginative drawings in colored real backrounds

Spring 1

This week we started our Spring final. I chose to imitate the photographer Ben Heine. However, because I am not skilled enough to draw and printing out images to photograph with becomese a waist of paper, I chose collage black and white drawings into real images. I think the contrast between pencil drawings and reality is really interesting so I wanted to really pursue that theme.
