Mulit-Frame Storytelling

The mulit-frame storytelling assignment this week is a way to create a story through various images. By changing the color and effects of an image, it can change the entire meaning of the image which leads to the story being changed. I focused on darker tones on my images, making them a little somber. The borders I choose on my images made the somber mood of the images more authentic to me.

    I think your darker tones are very strong and the whites are so white that our images remain cohesive with one any other. I liked how you included a variety of frames, it showed your experimental side of this assignment. Great work

    I like how the overall dark tones in all of your images tie each one of your photos together. I especially like your last photo because the very light and very dark colors conflict each other, but it still ties the piece together.

    I think you did an incredible job by having a dark tone throughout all of your images. You matched up each image perfectly which provided a very cohesive feel throughout your post. Great job!

    I think you did an amazing job with this piece. I like how certain photos were darker than others because it tends to create different moods and tones within the piece. Each photo perfectly fits the theme and mood in each individual piece. Wonderful work Lakpa.

Diagonals are leading lines in a photo. They can be used to create a strong impression or movement in a photo. Diagonals can effect the mood of the image. Rule of thirds is when the main focus of the image is on one of the thirds of the grid while the rest is all simple. Rule of thirds happens  by placing the subject with the guide lines of a 3x3 grid. This allows the features in the image to flow Triangles can be used in  photography to fill the frame, add balance, and add movement in the images. They also help guide the obsever's eye to the subjects, and they are just interesting visually.

Fall Series Draft #2

In this new draft, I realized that Jasper James' City Silhouettes were a bit brighter than what I had made them and that the photos of the people were all different sizes. Some of them were zoomed in while others were farther way. I started with the city as the background but I only edited it after I combined it with the picture of the person. This way, it allowed me to see how much the background need to brighten to make the picture of the perosn stand out more.

Composition 4

Symmetry refers to a line the splits the object in half. If both sides of the image are the same, it is considered symmetrical. The line that splits a symmetrical object is call a line of symmetry. In these images, I really wanted to use a vareity of objects to really capture the idea of symmetry in different ways. Asymmetry in a photos is when the two sides do not look the same. In my photos, it tried to capture this by trying different prespectives while taking the photos making sure to that the asymmertry was really noticiable.  Balance is a techinque used in photography that takes two differenct objects and they are placed in a way so that they look like equivalent weight in the image. This is the hardest because I didn't really understand the concept so I just took photos on what I thought that balance meant.
