Draft 2

In the previous draft, I was able to find many images that followed Nathan Lyons style of subject out of their natural habitat. In this new draft, I made sure that I didn't have people in my photos becuase that was one of the aspects of Nathan Lyons that I missed. In the editting process, I needed to make sure that the shadows didn't cover that subject of the images. The images with words, I made sure that they stood out from the background.

  1. I think this post was really powerful because the black and white adds a touch of eerie feeling. I think the most powerful image was the last one because Evict trump was written in white on a black background which adds a lot! Great job!

  2. Your images are really great! They are so crips and in focus, which makes the words and subject a statement to your images. Great work. Also Shaw's is the best!

  3. I love this. I think that you should focus more on words and art outside, as the text indoors you take pictures of have less of a timeless vibe that I get from some of your others. I'd say to just keep exploring and keep collecting photos; I think your portfolio will be amazing.

  4. I think all of your photos really reflect Nathon Lyon's style. My favorite is your 8th photo. I have no suggestions. Keep up the good work!

  5. These are all really cohesive photos. My favorites are the 5th and 15th because of the way edited for high contrast. I am not a huge fan of words being the entirety of the picture (specifically your 12th and 13th) because everything in the photo is just too smooth looking. I think Lyons' work is more of a rugged-smooth (if that makes sense...). But otherwise, I really like your pictures, keep it up!

  6. I really like your photos with the street, I like how they give a voice to the city of San Francisco and the people living here. My only suggestion is to focus on murals/graffiti/street art.

  7. I think these pictures are awesome! I really like the darker mood/tone to the image, and how it compliments the main focal point. I think that you made a great choice by highlighting the subject in some images and darkening the background in other images to hide the subject. I really like these images, GREAT JOB!

  8. I like the black and white as it gives each photo more cohesion and makes them seem more natural.
